William Hinton 9 month light rum 40% abv 70cl

We are developing a business importing rum from Madeira which will have its own site by the end of June 2026 

In the meantime however, we have taken the liberty of including two Hinton rums on the Best of Wessex site as you can taste them at the markets we visit and buy them online here.

This classic straw coloured rum agricole (made from the whole cane and not just the molasses)  results from the selection of the best sugar cane that Madeira Island has to offer which is then subjected to a special process of prolonged fermentation.

Once all the necessary characteristics were gathered, the sugarcane juice was distilled and subsequently aged in our French oak barrels for a period of 9 months, giving it the distinctive straw colour.

It’s a highly versatile rum, especially suited for mixology, aiming to fill a niche often identified by industry professionals.
