As The Best of Wessex sells alcoholic drinks, all orders must be placed and received by someone aged 18 or over.

When you place an order with us, your age is checked discreetly during the checkout process. This is carried out through a specialist age verification service, using the details provided within the ordering system.

The verification process is designed to confirm that you are legally old enough to purchase alcohol, while keeping your personal information handled securely.

Age checks on delivery

To make sure the person receiving the order is also of legal age, our deliveries may also be subject to Royal Mail age verification.

When your parcel arrives, you may be asked to confirm your year of birth. If you appear to be between 18 and 25, Royal Mail may ask to see valid photographic ID before handing over your order.

This also applies if you collect your parcel from a Royal Mail Customer Service Point or Post Office branch.

Please make sure someone aged 18 or over is available to receive the delivery.
