How To Use

Our Gin Pouchettes can be used to create two different drinks at home: a Spiced Gin or a warming Mulled Gin Fruit Cocktail.

Spiced Gin

Add 500ml gin, 50g sugar and the contents of one sachet of spice mix to a large preserving jar or similar container.

Swirl gently until the sugar has dissolved, then leave in a dark place at room temperature for 4–7 days, gently shaking the jar each day. Once infused, strain through a fine sieve or muslin and transfer to a sterilised bottle. Serve over ice or with your favourite mixer.

We recommend using The Best of Wessex Triple Distilled Gin for this recipe.

Mulled Gin Fruit Cocktail

Add 500ml fruit juice – apple or cranberry work particularly well – 40g sugar and the contents of one sachet of spice mix to a saucepan.

Heat gently while stirring for approximately 5 minutes. Do not allow the mixture to boil. Remove from the heat and leave to infuse for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add 100ml gin and gently reheat. Strain through a fine sieve or muslin and serve warm.

Try it with The Best of Wessex Triple Distilled Gin.
