A wonderful crème de cassis made from Somerset blackcurrants which our customers rate as being as good as its French cousins!
Add a tiny amount to an ordinary white wine to create the classic Kir.
Or add bubbles ( Blanc de blanc or cava both work well) to treat yourself to a Kir Royale.
If you are beastly rich you can use champagne....
According to Lynne, who we met at Salisbury market on 19th July, in Brittany they drink a Kir de Bretagne made with local cider.
We will be testing that idea at Salisbury market with Rawlins Cider.
