Unlike many gins in the West country, this does not start its life being delivered as a tanker of industrial alcohol.
This is old school alcohol made the real way. It starts its journey on the estate as Horatio wheat and is then distilled through a 43 plate copper still, creating a base spirit that gives the spirits (Gin and Vodka) that are created to give a truly smooth texture.
To then create their wonderful gin, the team at Ramsbury start with the spirit and add nine botanicals (juniper, fresh quince, cinnamon, liquorice, oris root, coriander, dried lemon peel, dried orange peel and angelica) which is then distilled.
This 80% abv gin concentrate is then blended down to 40% using Ramsbury's own water, before being chill filtered and hand bottled on site.
